美術家・伊達伸明が行ったリサーチをもとに独自の視点で見立てた西成のスポットを歩きながら、道端にひそむ魅力を「世界旅行的」に楽しもうという１泊２日のまち歩きツアー。
近年、急増する海外からの観光客の受け皿として増えている民泊施設に宿泊し、ごく一般的に観光するという外観をとりつつ、そこで自動的に与えられる「地域にとっての異物」的立場から、地元と外来者とのズレや齟齬、あるべき関係性などについても体験・考察するという２重構造の企画。さらに、西成区の住民が別の町内を互いに観光し合う「となりまち交換観光」も同時に実施され、ツアー全体としては、この「となりまち交換観光」に参加する西成区民も加わり、地域内外の参加者がともに区内の東西南北4エリアを巡りました。
いわゆる観光名所を巡るツアーとは少し趣は異なり、普段はとりたてて注目されることもない場所や西成の日常の風景にもスポットをあてながら、それぞれの視点で見どころを発見しつつ、多様なまちの魅力を掘りおこしていくものです。
This two-day walking tour of a town was developed from research conducted by artist Date Nobuaki between 2016 and 2018. The tour visits numerous locations throughout Nishinari, selected through the artist's distinctive perspective in order to reveal the area's hidden attractions--allowing participants to experience the neighbourhood as though undertaking a "world trip."
The project naturally adopts a double structure. On one hand, it borrows the format of a conventional sightseeing tour, with participants staying in private accommodations that have rapidly increased in number in response to growing tourism, yet often remain disconnected from the lives of local residents. Through this framework, participants encounter the gaps and tensions between locals and outsiders, prompting reflection on what kinds of relationships could be built between them. At the same time, another program titled "Neighbouring Town Exchange Visit" was organised, in which Nishinari residents visited neighbouring areas within the ward itself. Together, participants from both inside and outside Nishinari explored four areas of the ward--North, South, East, and West.
Unlike conventional sightseeing tours, this project drew attention to overlooked sites and everyday landscapes within Nishinari. Participants were also encouraged to discover places that interested them from their own perspectives, uncovering the diverse and often unnoticed charms of the town.

美術家。1964年大阪府生まれ、在住。京都市立芸術大学美術学部大学院工芸科修了。
2000年より、取り壊される建物の一部を使ってウクレレを制作する「建築物ウクレレ化保存計画」を開始。現在までに約70物件の建物の記憶を作品化している。
平行して地域資産の再発掘企画も手がけ、大阪新世界、岡山総社市、豊中市、仙台市、神戸市などでリサーチベースの展覧会を監修する他、京都・舞鶴の特別養護老人ホームで始まった「とつとつダンス」のダンス公演に出演（2010、2014-15）、「アートと考古学展」（京都文化博物館、2016）に出品等、活動分野は多岐にわたる。
